Bedside Rounds

A tiny podcast about fascinating stories in clinical medicine.

About

Bedside Rounds is a medical podcast by myself (Adam Rodman, @AdamRodmanMD) about fascinating stories in clinical medicine. I started this podcast for a couple of reasons.

  1. I was unable to find an interesting narrative-based medical podcast a la Radiolab or 99% Invisible; and
  2. I have too many great stories to tell about medicine and too few cocktail parties to tell them at (this problem greatly upsets me).
  3. And I guess that by telling great stories, I can explain, maybe just a little bit, how doctors approach medicine, and what this means for the rest of us.

This podcast is purely a labor of love. I don’t make any money off of this, but I do have a ton of fun making it. I started when I was an internal medicine resident, and I’d like to think now that I’m an attending the quality and frequency have both increased considerably. I appreciate any and all feedback, from any of the contact links on the sidebar (though Twitter is my favorite).

And finally, like I say at the end of my podcasts, while I am a real doctor and I don’t just play one on the internet, Bedside Rounds is meant to be purely entertainment and education, and should not be construed as medical advice.
